My Hometown.. A place you can always return to.

This is a view just outside my house. That basketball court have always been there ever since I could remember. Never really learned the game though, not really an outside person. :D Oh and in case you're wondering, those are not ziplines, they are electric power post wires.
This is our beloved City Hall. Calbayog City is located in the province of Samar, the 5th largest island in the Philippine Archipelago. Though this have been renovated a couple of times now, inside you can still see the history and grandeur of the spanish influence interior architecture. Our city is also known as the "City of Waterfalls". You will see later on my future posts some of these beautiful waterfalls which makes tourists both local and foreigner come and go.
This is our City Pier. Composed mostly of Pumpboats, which travels to the neighboring islands. It's always a thrill riding one of these. The huge waves crashing towards you would really give you an adrenaline rush.
This is the Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral. As you may all know, the Philippines is highly Roman Catholic. Calbayognons are very religious. This Church have also been renovated several times.
Stands just along the National Highway. We call these "Sari-sari store". Sari-sari from the word "Sari" which means mix. Each store sells several merchandise such as fruits, eggs, to clothes and different kinds of beverages.
A series of fishing boats line up beside the shores of Calbayog City. Because we are an archipelago, people in our city, and most of the city in the Philippines are composed of fishermen and farmers.
Fishing boats can go as long as 10meters to 3meters bangka. They mostly go fishing everynight, where the fish are bountiful.
You should see the variety of these fishing boats. They would put different designs and colors on them especially during fiestas.
Finally this is my little studio. This is where I do my magic. :D
It's just a little portion in the house, but it serves its purpose. Located near a window for good lighting and also ventilation.
I always use Acrylic Paints. The cheap ones, those in a can. Maybe one day when I become a famous artist I can finally try those expensive oil and acrylic paints the professionals use! ^^ Looking forward to that! :D
