The Grotto.. A place of pilgrimage

This photo of a Mary is a giant statue located in a grotto in a cliff situated in Barangay Malajog, Samar, Philippines. It serves as a place of pilgrimage especially during Holy Week.

The sides of each stations are adorned with fresh beautiful flowers and plants making it more conducive place for worship.
These are some of the flowers that got my attention. I don't know the name of this particular flower though, what I do know is that it's beautiful to look at.
This photo is taken at the bottom of the station. Beside the grotto is a Church which is still under construction.
The man who resides in this hut lives near the gate of the grotto. I don't know much of his story. This was a stolen shot. He looks very lonely in this photo.
Just along this shoreline is the Malajog Beach, a popular place here in Calbayog City. Most resident here are fishermen, and some of the fish they caught here are turn into dried fish which yields more profit.

A view from atop the grotto.
This photo was taken from atop the cliff of the grotto. Here we can see the construction of the bell tower for the chuch.
